Fix Fortnite Crash on PC 2026 | Athena Crash Reporter Fix

If Fortnite Chapter 6 keeps crashing on PC or you encounter the Athena Crash Reporter, follow these steps to fix it.

1️⃣ Basic Fixes

Restart your PC, check Fortnite server status, update the game, and run Fortnite as an administrator. Also, restart the Epic Games Launcher.

2️⃣ Verify Game Files

In Epic Games Launcher, go to Library, click the three dots on Fortnite, select Verify, and wait for the process to complete.

3️⃣ Update Graphics Drivers

For NVIDIA, use GeForce Experience to update drivers. For AMD, update through AMD Radeon Software. Keeping drivers up to date helps prevent crashes.

4️⃣ Optimize Graphics Settings

Set Fortnite to High-Performance GPU in Windows Settings. Disable overclocking and use DirectX 11 or Performance Mode in Fortnite settings for stability. Lower graphics settings if necessary.

5️⃣ Fix Athena Crash Reporter Issue

Press Win + R, type %localappdata%, and delete the FortniteGame folder. Alternatively, in Epic Games Launcher → Settings → Additional Command Line Arguments, enter -dx11 to force DirectX 11.

6️⃣ Disable Background Apps

In Task Manager, disable unnecessary startup apps like OneDrive, Discord, and overlays (NVIDIA, Xbox Game Bar, Discord) to free up resources.
